Celebrating the life of

Mary Alyce Kehoe

January 04, 1933 - July 21, 2017

Mary Alyce Kehoe

Mary A. Kehoe, age 84, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2017 under the care of Hospice Savannah, surrounded by her family.

She was born on January 4, 1933 in Savannah where she lived for most of her life. She was a graduate of Savannah High School, attended St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing and retired from Memorial Medical center in 1995. She had a passion for life and enjoyed among many things sunbathing at Tybee Island, spending summers on Daufuskie Island, swimming in the pool, knitting and sipping bourbon with friends. She possessed a keen sense of humor, never admitted to losing an argument and always had the last word in her own eccentric way. She was a star.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Simon P. Kehoe, Jr., and Geraldine H. Kehoe of Tifton, and her brother Simon P. Kehoe, III of Savannah.

She is survived by her children, Lee K. Cummings (Krista) of Savannah, Tara E. Ryan (Billy) of Kaw City, Oklahoma: grandchildren, Russell W. Baker (Jessie) of Brisbane

Australia, Jacquelyn M. Peacock of Savannah, Garrett L. Cummings of Savannah, Simon G. Frederick of Newburg, West Virginia, and McKenna C. Cummings of Savannah. Mary had one great grandson, Bryton Baker of Brisbane, Australia.

In keeping with Mary’s wishes, a traditional funeral service will be declined in favor of a private celebration of life festivity for the family.

My deepest sympathy to all those who knew and loved Mary. I know this must be a very hard time for you all. If you ever feel alone or lost, remember you can always turn to God in prayer. David, who went through much loss, once said,"In my distress I called on the name of Jehovah, To my God I kept crying for help. From his temple he heard my voice, And my cry to him for help reached his ears"(Psalms 18:6). Be assured that Jehovah God will hear your voice as well.
